Relax at the Beach!

Information to assist you in enjoying your stay at the TIDEWATER 1317

Picture

  • To watch TV, make sure the television is turned to channel 4. Use the Infinity remote to change channels. You will need to use the TV remote (JVC or Vizio) to turn the TV on or off and to put it on channel 4 if someone changed it..
  • To get to the TV GUIDE, using the Infinity Remote, use the channel up or down button. Then press 5. You scroll the guide by using the 2 and 8 buttons. You select by pressing 5.
  • We have a ROKU in the living room. Just press the input button on the JVC remoted, scroll down and select ROKU. We have an active Netflix account that you can use. There are other channels available as well. Admittedly and unfortunately, some times the internet speed is not fast enough to watch Netflix without buffering.

  • We have an Ecobee Thermostat. To change the temperature, just place your finger on the temperature within the circle (as shown as 76 in the photo) and move the number up or down. When you adjust, it will change to your temperature and stay that way for four hours.
The normal thermostat temperature is set for 73 degrees during the day and 69 at night. If this is uncomfortable for you, email me and I can adjust.

If you come in from the beach and it seems warmer than 73 degrees that is because it senses when you leave and when you return. It will come back on when you arrive and go back to 73 degrees.

Because the living area is virtually all glass with 9 all glass panels, it will be warmer than the bedrooms. You should find a box fan in the second master bedroom closet. We like to put it in hallway to blow the cooler air toward the living area. It really makes a difference. If you decide to use it, please put it back in the closet before you leave.

You may notice in most rooms a little square box on the walls about 2 inches wide by 2 inches. They are temperature sensors for the cooling system. Please do not touch them.

      b. If your Personalized Code has been used by other user, you will hear the descending tone and see the [SCHLAGE] oval button flashing red. In this case, please try a new Personalized Code.

BEACH SERVICE: We have paid for beach service in season for you (two lounge chairs and one umbrella) a savings of over $200 for a week. You may rent more if you like. Inform the attendant of your unit number (1317) and he/she can verify that you have paid for service. You may need to give him the name of the prior owner (who reserved the service). Her name is Amy Mollohan.
You have two options with the beach service:

    • For any row other than the first row, you can reserve with the attendant the same set for the length of your entire stay. That way you only have to get in line to reserve one time.
    • If you want on the front row, you must get in line every morning to try to get on the front row. They start at 8:30 a.m.

PLEASE MAKE SURE THE REFRIGERATOR’S TEMPERATURE SETTING IS NOT AT ITS COLDEST SETTING. According to a technician that actually makes it NOT work as well. Both the freezer and refrigerator setting should be near the middle. You should find the refrigerator empty when you arrive. When you add room temperature items, it takes a while for the refrigerator to get all of them cold. Also make sure no item you add is blocking the damper from the freezer to the refrigerator near the back of the refrigerator.  HERE IS A TIP: If you have bought or brought several canned drinks, put them in the freezer first for 25 minutes or so. Then move them to the refrigerator. Putting several room temperature drinks in the previously empty refrigerator takes a long time to get cool.

Twelve white fresh towels, twelve white wash clothes, new soap and an initial supply of toilet paper are supplied by the cleaning company.

On checking out, here is what you need to do:
1.  Remove trash. The trash chute is near the one elevator on the east end.
2.  Leave beds unmade.
3.  Place any dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start it.
4.  Empty out the refrigerator and freezer.
5.  Text (401) 753-2407 when you leave just stating you have checked out of Tidewater 1317. This allows our cleaners to get started ASAP.
You should also find a check out procedures letter from the cleaners inside the unit.
CHECK OUT TIME is FIRMLY at 9 a.m. Our cleaners are on a very tight schedule, so please adhere to this. Your door code will quit working shortly after 9 a.m.
